Gal Gadot, Miss Universe Israel 2004, who played Wonder Woman in the recent movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) signed for two sequels, Justice League and Wonder Woman, and is taking Hollywood by storm. The former Miss Universe contestant began her acting career with a lead in Fast and Furious and has since added multiple modeling contracts and awards to her resume. As the face of Gucci fragrances, Jaguar Cars, and covergirl for Cosmopolitan and Glamour, Godot has been nominated for the Critic’s Choice Awards’ Best Actress in an Action Movie and won the Chinese American Film Festival’s Most Popular US Actress in China.

Despite her recent success, Gal Gadot has been a Wonder Woman for many years. As an 18-year-old, Gadot won the 2004 Miss Isreal competition, represented her country in the 53rd Annual Miss Universe competition in Equador and then returned home to join the Israeli Army. Shortly after her army training, Gadot began her acting career, performing her own stunts in Fast and Furious and was later trained in swordsmanship, Kung Fu kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and capoeira fighting prior to her role as Wonder Woman.

The Miss Universe Organization is proud of Gal Gadot’s success as she embodies a confidently beautiful woman on and off of the camera.
